The cdmt Instr includes Higher Officer Training, Army Personnel, five application training centers, the Army Instruction Center as well as the specialized service Women in the army and diversity. One third of the approximately 2350 employees practice civilian professions in the scientific, technical, medical, psychological, administrative or sporting fields and contribute, along with career soldiers, to the success of the army. The Swiss Army employs more than 9000 employees in four military professions and approximately 200 civilian professions, across 110 sites throughout Switzerland. It also ensures succession by training apprentices in more than 30 trades.
