Berne-Ittigen (and home office) | 80-100% What you can contribute <br /> • Lead a team of nine employees, contribute to the development of the Strategic Planning section, define work programs and resource utilization, and manage priorities • Ensure, in collaboration with the team, the preliminary examination and examination of cantonal master plans, and ensure quality and adherence to deadlines • Organize collaboration with the relevant cantons and federal services and develop viable solutions in case of diverging interests • Refine procedures and requirements relating to strategic planning as well as, if necessary, develop the corresponding legal bases • Coordinate the section's collaboration within the ARE and assert its concerns • Represent the ARE within working groups and parliamentary commissions and organize conferences and presentations <br /> What makes you unique <br /> • Higher education degree with continuing education in spatial planning or equivalent qualification and several years of experience in the field of spatial planning • Experience in a leadership role and desire to take on responsibility, to provide a clear framework for your team, and to encourage individual responsibility as well as employee development • Ability to bring together different personalities, to establish a culture of collaboration and a climate of trust • Good understanding of political issues, confidence and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to take divergent interests into account and develop viable solutions • Ability to synthesize, strategic sense and ability to structure complex issues, to establish priorities and to make informed decisions even in cases of high workload • Excellent writing skills and interest in interdisciplinary collaboration • Good active knowledge of at least a second official language, passive knowledge of a third official language and good knowledge of English <br /> In a few words Lead. Additional information The cantonal master plan is an essential instrument for the spatial development of Switzerland. In this position, you will work with an experienced team to ensure the examination of cantonal master plans with a view to their approval by the Federal Council, you will refine this instrument in collaboration with the cantons, and you will assume the role of intermediary between the Confederation and the cantons.
