Maintenance Mechanic # Position Overview   Location: Basel, Switzerland Company: Nestlé Suisse SA Employment level: 100% Contract type: Permanent Start of employment: immediately or by agreement   Benefits: • Min. 25 days of vacation per year, more depending on age • 18 weeks of paid maternity leave, 4 weeks of paid paternity leave • 13th monthly salary and bonus opportunity • Pension fund benefits above the legal minimum • Contributions to sick pay insurance paid 100% by the employer • Locations with agile and collaborative workplaces  • Dynamic and international work environment  • Many opportunities for personal development and growth   Position Overview   The Basel factory is a high-performance production facility of Nestlé Suisse S.A. and produces culinary products of the THOMY brand for domestic and foreign markets.   For our Production department, we are looking for a committed individual as a Maintenance Mechanic, starting immediately or by agreement.   A day in the life of a Maintenance Mechanic   • Carrying out maintenance and repair work on filling systems • Analyzing and troubleshooting disruptions in day-to-day operations • Manufacturing spare parts or procuring them from the manufacturer • Identifying opportunities for optimization and implementing technical improvements • Accompanying line personnel during format and product changes • Training line personnel in technical skills •  Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards   What makes you successful   • Completed apprenticeship as a (poly-)mechanic, industrial mechanic, mechatronics engineer or related professions • Experience in maintenance, preferably in an industrial food production facility • In-depth knowledge of turning, welding, milling, and creating technical drawings • Experience in preventive maintenance, continuous improvement processes, and 5S is an advantage •  Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work approach • Open and transparent communication as a team player • Very good spoken and written German language skills • Willingness to work flexible shifts in a predominantly 2-shift operation from Monday to Friday and willingness to be on call   At Nestlé, we want to contribute to a better and healthier world, inspire people to live a healthier life, and work at a pace and scale that makes a difference.
