Who we are
The Heim Sunnegg is a social pedagogical institution for adults with support needs: 17 places, two residential groups, rural location at the edge of the village. We offer a structured, realistic everyday life and promote self-determination, participation, and personal development.
We are in the middle of a transformation. Existing concepts are being thought further, the daily structure is being redesigned, and new approaches to living together are being consciously tested. This means: Much is currently open – and those who think along, help shape how things proceed.

Your tasks
You accompany and support adults in everyday residential group life
You help shape the daily structure and develop it further
You promote independence, everyday competencies, and social participation
You plan individual and group-related offers and implement them
You take on key worker duties and the associated documentation
You work in an interdisciplinary team and together with external specialist agencies
You actively participate in our change and development processes

What you bring with you
Completed training as a Social Educator HF/FH or comparable qualification
Interest in working with adults with support needs
Creativity, initiative, and joy in thinking along
Willingness to question existing structures and take new paths
Ability to reflect and teamwork skills
Calmness and flexibility, even when everyday life gets intense

Good to know
Working hours: From October 2026, we will work in a clear three-shift model. Weekend services are included. We plan the scheduling together and well in advance.
Accessibility via public transport: Walkringen station is located on the BLS line Burgdorf–Thun and is served hourly by the S-Bahn lines S41 (Solothurn–Thun) and S42; from there, it is a few minutes' walk to us at Ebnenackerweg. From Bern, you can reach us in just over half an hour: with tram 6 to Worb and continuing with Postauto 791 via Rüttihubelbad – or by train via Konolfingen. We are located in the Libero-Zone 146.
