The EOC multisite hospital in Ticino is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1'000 beds. The organization allows for effectively combining a local approach and overall vision, guaranteeing the population a global and proximity-based hospital offer, regardless of the location where services are requested. Thanks to the commitment and competence of over 6'500 collaborators and their attention to human relationships, the EOC ensures high-quality healthcare, taking care of over 41'000 inpatient patients per year and providing over 600'000 outpatient consultations. To complete our Emergency and Urgent Care Service team at the Regional Hospital of Lugano, we are looking for Head of Emergency Clinic Doctor (100%)# Profile:## The emergency service of the Regional Hospital of Lugano represents the cantonal hub center for managing time-dependent pathologies, including stroke, polytrauma, ischemic heart disease, as well as neurosurgery, vascular surgery, and cardiac surgery. The selected figures will become part of an interdisciplinary team, carrying out clinical, training, and research activities, in addition to assuming small organizational tasks. The head clinicians will also have a key role as tutors for doctors in training. The work environment is distinguished by collegiality, sharing of skills, continuous training, and professional stimuli. The training opportunities include weekly courses, simulations, discussion of complex clinical cases, internal seminars, and the possibility of participating in certified courses such as ACLS, ATLS, POCUS, PALS, AHLS, and others. It is also possible to complete the training to obtain the title of emergency doctor SMUSS, if not already in possession. Other strengths include the possibility of carrying out clinical research and collaborating in the tutoring of medical students from the University of Italian Switzerland. Essential requirements:## • degree/diploma in medicine and specialization in internal medicine and/or surgery or equivalent title and related registration with MedReg before the start of work activity. For doctors with foreign titles, recognition by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and related registration with MedReg before the start of work is mandatory; • proven knowledge of the Italian language (required level at least B2) with related registration with MedReg before the start of work; • relational, communication skills, and attitude to team work with interest in emergency medicine. Preferred requirements (not essential): • emergency doctor SMUSS certificate; • certificates of competence and/or clinical experience in emergency medicine in Swiss or foreign institutions; • knowledge of other national languages and/or English; • excellent mastery of main computer tools.
