Develop Private Banking and wealth management with an entrepreneurial spirit

Our client, Hypo Vorarlberg Bank AG located in St. Gallen, is an established bank operating beyond regional borders, with public law owners, regional values, and an international network. It is active in Austria, Switzerland, southern Germany, as well as northern Italy. As part of a prosperous Austrian banking group, it combines stability with entrepreneurial dynamism and is consistently developing its Private Banking business in German-speaking Switzerland. The St. Gallen site has been in a strong growth phase for five years and offers the opportunity to actively participate in the development of a fully digitized advisory approach, which is why we are looking for a wealth management advisor / deputy to the Head of Private Banking for our client.

Tasks

In this versatile role, you will assume responsibility for managing demanding private clients while actively contributing to the development of Private Banking.

• Global advice to wealthy private clients (from CHF 1 million in bankable assets, eventually also the Affluent segment as a digital advisory desk)
• Establishment and maintenance of long-term client relationships with a focus on global cross-border advice
• Participation in the development of Private Banking as well as taking on management replacement tasks
• Participation in the implementation of a digital advisory desk for Affluent clients as well as potentially for advisors in Austria and Germany
• Integration of Austrian asset management solutions as well as cross-border collaboration with advisory units in Austria, Germany, and northern Italy
• Financing in the field of owner-occupied residential real estate and investment properties or small business financing (depending on expertise)
• Participation in projects and active contribution to the design of team and organizational structures

Requirements

You are an entrepreneurial personality who enjoys building work and possess solid experience in Private Banking client advisory.

• Several years of experience in wealth management / Private Banking advisory
• Ability to advise demanding clients independently and globally
• Entrepreneurial spirit as well as interest in actively influencing and participating in design
• Affinity for digital topics and openness to new advisory approaches (e.g., digital desk)
• Ideally experience with international clients or cross-border issues
• Structured way of working, initiative, and solution-oriented
• Excellent communication skills in a multicultural environment
• Residence in the St. Gallen region (approximately 40 minutes)
