Director (80-100%) The Schulpsychologischer Dienst des Kantons St. Gallen (SPD) is a consulting service for students, their parents and teachers, as well as for school management and school authorities. Around 90 people are employed at the central office, the seven regional offices and the crisis intervention group. Further information can be found at As of 1. February 2027 or by arrangement, we are looking for: Director (80-100%) You are responsible for the professional and operational management of the SPD. You chair the executive management as well as the management conference and are an advisory member of the board. In the latter capacity, you help shape the strategy of the SPD. You ensure the professional fulfillment of tasks and the further development of the service and represent it externally, representing it in specialist committees and commissions as well as in public and politics. In addition, there is the possibility to work with a smaller workload as a school psychologist. You are a leadership-experienced, independent and resilient personality with experience and a corresponding network in the educational landscape. You combine high leadership competence with the innovative further development of the service. You are proactive, communicative and decisive. A convincing appearance and high social competence are a matter of course for you. For this demanding task, you have a university degree in psychology and a specialist title in child and adolescent psychology or an equivalent qualification. The SPD is managed as an independent institution in the canton. The leadership therefore also includes economic management and financial responsibility. Are you interested?
