Bern (and Homeoffice) | 80-100% This is your contribution • Take over innovation responsibility in the Armeestab and effectively anchor, implement, and further develop the existing innovation system of the Group Defense within the Armeestab • Identify, prioritize, and accompany innovation projects together with the line, and drive their implementation pragmatically, effectively, and in a user-oriented manner • Motivate and empower employees and entire specialist departments to contribute new ideas, take responsibility, and actively help shape innovation in everyday life • Build, coordinate, and strengthen a network of innovation role holders as a community • Track, document, and prepare innovation projects, budgets, pending items, and progress in a structured and target-group-oriented manner, and ensure an overview of ongoing projects • Convince, network, and win over different stakeholders at all levels for changes -- even in a demanding and highly regulated environment <br /> This makes you unique • Higher education (FH, Uni, or comparable) or HF with corresponding practical experience related to innovation, transformation, organizational development, business administration, or a related field • Enjoy actively initiating changes, trying new things, and bringing things into implementation pragmatically • Personality with initiative, self-responsibility, courage to make decisions, and the ability to persist and achieve impact even against resistance • Practical experience or great interest in modern innovation and working methods such as Design Thinking, Lean Startup, or agile approaches • Structured and organized way of working with enjoyment in maintaining projects, lists, reportings, protocols, and overviews cleanly and driving complex projects forward in a coordinated manner; experience in administration is an advantage • Active knowledge of at least one second official language (B2) as well as English at least B2 <br /> In a nutshell As Head of Innovation Armeestab, you are a doer with a will to shape. You actively move topics forward, convince people from diverse backgrounds, and manage to initiate changes even in a demanding, hierarchical, and security-critical environment. At the same time, you maintain an overview, coordinate different projects cleanly, and ensure that ideas are not only created but are structurally accompanied, documented, and implemented sustainably. You do not yet have to be a finished innovation expert -- what is important is motivation, willingness to learn, initiative, and the joy of actively helping to shape things. Here, in accordance with political specifications, the strategic foundations, the armed forces development, and the army and armament planning are developed, and tasks in the international security context are performed. The leadership, management, and coordination of all cross-cutting areas (Personnel, Finance, Real Estate) also fall within the responsibility of the Armeestab. The Swiss Army employs over 9'000 employees in four military and around 200 civilian professions -- and this at 110 locations throughout Switzerland.
