Specialist Unemployment Insurance

The legal service of the Amt für Wirtschaft und Arbeit (AWA) is looking for a Specialist Unemployment Insurance as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement

Your tasks

• Checking reported violations by unemployed persons and assessing the corresponding sanctions
• Independent investigation of facts and drafting of decrees
• Processing of statements and appeals as well as drafting of decrees or appeal decisions
• Contact with insured persons and professional exchange with unemployment funds, Regional Employment Centres, as well as other internal and external bodies.
• Checking short-time work applications and independent drafting of decrees.

Your profile

• Commercial basic training
• Additional training in the field of social insurance and/or corresponding professional experience
• Interest in legal issues and enjoyment of a demanding, responsible activity
• Very good written expression and confident drafting of texts
• Rapid comprehension as well as a structured, careful and solution-oriented way of working
• Strong service orientation, personal responsibility, independence
• Ability to work in a team and social competence
