Strategic Buyer in the Food Sector m/f/d 100%

Are you a negotiation talent and do you have a sense for optimal procurement strategies? In this key role, you will take responsibility for strategic and operational purchasing in the food sector. In doing so, you will ensure the best quality, optimize costs, and strengthen long-term partnerships with suppliers. Become part of the team and actively shape the procurement process!

Tasks

• Planning and controlling the procurement of food
• Selection and support of suppliers and freight forwarders
• Optimization of procurement and negotiation of prices & contracts
• Ensuring quality and product availability
• Monitoring expiry dates and inventory levels
• Maintenance of supplier and article master data in the ERP system
• Communication with internal and external partners
• Processing of complaints with the specialist departments
• Collaboration with planning, production, quality assurance, and logistics
• Further development of procurement strategies and processes
• Participation in projects as well as budget planning and control

Profile

• Completed training with further education in procurement
• Several years of experience in procurement, ideally in the food sector
• Knowledge in supplier management, contract law, and market analysis
• Independent, structured, and number-oriented way of working
• Confident use of MS Office and SAP
• Negotiation skills, assertiveness, and analytical thinking
• Very good German and good English skills
• Able to work in a team, strong communicator, and result-oriented
