On direct assignment from our client, a leading Swiss IT service provider with a modern hybrid cloud and datacenter environment, based in Bern, we are looking for a committed personality as of immediately or by arrangement as:

Sr. Network & Security Engineer (m/f) 80-100% #

In this demanding position, you are responsible for the operation, further development, and optimization of modern network and security platforms. You will take on an important role in ensuring a stable, scalable, and highly available infrastructure, thereby making a significant contribution to the success of the Managed Services organization.

Your main tasks include the conception, implementation, and operation of network and security solutions in modern datacenter and public cloud environments. You will actively participate in infrastructure projects and accompany new services from planning and introduction through to operational operation.

Furthermore, you will take on technical responsibility for selected technology areas, support complex incident and problem analyses, and contribute your expert knowledge to sustainable troubleshooting. You will further develop technical standards and architecture guidelines and help to design modern and future-proof infrastructure platforms.

A further focus of your activity lies in the active co-creation of a modern DevOps culture. In doing so, you will work closely with internal specialists and customers and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, services, and automation solutions.

For this challenge, you have training or a degree in the field of computer science (HF/FH) or a comparable qualification. You bring profound knowledge in the planning, implementation, and operation of network and security infrastructures and have practical experience in datacenter or cloud environments.

Ideally, you possess good knowledge in the areas of routing, switching, WLAN, VPN, and firewall technologies. Experience with automation and scripting is as welcome as know-how in the area of modern hybrid cloud architectures.

You are characterized by an analytical, structured, and solution-oriented way of working. As a customer-oriented personality, you value cooperation in a team and bring the motivation to actively further develop innovative technologies. Very good German skills as well as good English skills round off your profile.
