The Massnahmenzentrum St. Johannsen is a correctional facility of the canton of Bern and serves as an open center for the treatment of 80 mentally stressed or addicted offenders. The measure is intended to help the inmates find a self-responsible and crime-free life. Place of work: Le Landeron Entry date: 1. December 2026 or by agreement Your tasks In consideration of the applicable regulations and the policy issued by the management, you are technically, operationally and personally responsible for a residential group with 18 inmates and a sociotherapy team of six to eight employees. The team is responsible for stabilizing and promoting existing resources among the inmates, conducting individual and group discussions, designing leisure activities, planning and accompanying vacations, and dealing with deviant behavior. As a leader, you monitor and ensure the implementation of individual execution plans and have a say in the admission and transfer of inmates. Your profile You are a proven leader with several years of experience and have a professional training in psychiatry / psychology, (social) pedagogy or social work. Ideally, you have professional experience in the execution of justice. You are characterized by high social competence and a sense of people, but also by the ability to set boundaries, assertiveness and resilience. In addition, you are a team-oriented, steadfast and at the same time flexible personality who appreciates interdisciplinary work. You are a native German speaker, have oral French skills and have very good editorial skills. We require an impeccable reputation (no entries in the central criminal record extract).
