As a Primary School Principal, you lead a primary school location pedagogically, personally, organizationally and administratively. Together with the rector and the other school leaders, you shape the further development of the school and create reliable framework conditions for good, modern teaching and constructive cooperation.

Primary School Principal (80–100%)

Your tasks:

You assume overall responsibility for a primary school location. Your central tasks include:

• Pedagogical, personnel, organizational and administrative leadership of the location
• Co-shaping of school and teaching development
• Assumption of departmental tasks within the school management
• Development and implementation of concepts and measures in the areas of quality, health promotion and safety
• Cooperation with internal and external specialist departments and committees
• Accompanying change processes and dealing with demanding issues in everyday school life.

What you bring, so you convince:

A prerequisite for this function is completed training as a primary school teacher. You know the everyday school life from your own professional experience and bring a good understanding of the requirements of a primary school.

Furthermore, you possess:

• Interest and willingness to take on leadership responsibility
• Clear and binding communication
• The ability to adopt different perspectives and develop sustainable solutions
• A structured and independent way of working
• Joy in cooperation and joint school development
• The ability to maintain an overview and take responsibility even in demanding situations

Completed or ongoing school management training is an advantage, but not a prerequisite. The willingness to complete this is a prerequisite.
