Sucht Schweiz is a national non-profit foundation committed to the prevention and reduction of problems related to addictive behavior. At the interface of research, prevention, and politics, we actively participate in social debates and convey scientifically sound findings. For our research department, we are looking for a committed personality to lead national research projects with high visibility, develop new scientific endeavors, and actively shape the future of our research. Your tasks: In this responsible function, you will take over the leadership and further development of a portfolio of scientific research projects. This includes, in particular, significant national projects such as the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study, the Cann-L pilot trial, and the Observatorium Tabakmarketing (OMATA). You will take on a key role within our research department and actively shape national research projects of high social relevance. You will report directly to the Head of Research and work closely with an interdisciplinary and bilingual team. Leadership, coordination, and implementation of complex research projects from planning to successful completion Further development of existing research axes as well as acquisition of new research projects and third-party funds Preparation of funding applications and participation in national tenders Ensuring project quality regarding time, budget, and risks Analysis and interpretation of scientific data as well as writing research reports and scientific publications Presentation of research results to specialists, authorities, funding institutions, and other stakeholders Technical supervision and coordination of scientific staff within the project teams Maintenance and expansion of long-term cooperations with public institutions and project funders (BAG, cantonal authorities, foundations, etc.) Your profile You have a sound scientific education and bring experience in leading demanding research projects. You enjoy working independently, taking responsibility, and moving confidently in exchange with different stakeholder groups. What you bring with you: University degree (Master or Doctorate) in Public Health, social sciences, social psychology, or a comparable field several years of professional experience in scientific research as well as in the management of complex research projects Very good knowledge of quantitative research methods as well as experience with statistical programs such as SPSS, R, or STATA German or French at native level as well as excellent knowledge of the respective other language (at least C1) Very good editorial skills as well as the ability to prepare complex scientific content appropriately for the target audience Independent, structured, and careful way of working with high organizational competence Additionally advantageous: Experience in the successful acquisition of research projects and third-party funds Leadership experience or experience in the technical management of interdisciplinary teams Knowledge in the field of addiction, Public Health, or health promotion Good English skills What awaits you with us We offer you a varied activity with high social relevance and plenty of creative freedom.
