We are looking for a resident in the field of neurosurgery or orthopedic surgery and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system with interest and experience in the field of spinal surgery, starting in 2026. The employment is initially limited to one year. Upon obtaining specialist status and outstanding commitment, a promotion to Deputy Senior Physician and an extension of the employment relationship by mutual agreement is possible, with the additional option of partial or complete further training for the specialization in spinal surgery. These are your tasks Under the supervision of a senior physician, you will care for patients in the spinal surgery outpatient clinic and support them in the care of inpatient patients You will assist in operations, in infiltrations of the spine as well as the large joints, and depending on your level of advanced training, you can perform such procedures yourself under supervision Administratively, you will be relieved by the Department for Acute and Rehabilitation Medicine in the inpatient care of patients, allowing you to concentrate more on medical matters You will work closely with colleagues from acute medicine, rehabilitation, pain clinic, plastic surgery, radiology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and many other specialist departments You will actively participate in teaching, research as well as continuing and advanced education What distinguishes you You have several years of clinical experience with a recognizable spinal focus. Ideally, you are about to complete your specialist training and intend to complete the specialization training in spinal surgery SGNC/SO. You have a completed medical degree (for foreign diplomas with MEBEKO recognition) and have very good oral and written German skills (at least level C1). You are a team player, committed and resilient personality with high social and professional competence.
