On the one hand, the Finance Department of the Canton of Schaffhausen, through the tax and finance sector, ensures the provision of financial resources and ensures a stable cantonal budget. On the other hand, our tasks include the protection and security of the population, ensuring peace and order, military, population, and civil protection, as well as building insurance. The personnel area also holds high importance.

Immediately or by arrangement, we are looking for:

Digitalization Specialist (m/f), 100 %, initially fixed-term for 4 years

What awaits you

• Analysis of existing business processes in the Finance Department as well as identification of digitalization potentials (especially in financial administration)
• Conception, development, and implementation of digital solutions to optimize workflows
• Execution of system adjustments and introduction of new functions as well as processes of systems such as Abacus, GEVER, AXIANS Infoma (Microsoft Dynamics 365), and other specialist applications
• Implementation of release management, testing, and quality assurance of the system landscape
• Development, configuration, and adaptation of interfaces between specialist applications
• Ensuring the continuous further development of operative ICT in the Finance Department in close cooperation with the Digitale Verwaltung Schaffhausen and Informatik Schaffhausen

What you bring with you

• Higher tertiary education in informatics/business informatics (e.g., FH or comparable) with corresponding further training or experience in the IT sector
• Ability to translate technical requirements into technical solutions and implement them independently
• Several years of professional experience in the implementation of digitalization and transformation projects
• Understanding of finance, administration, or HR processes is an advantage
• Experience with Abacus, Microsoft Dynamics 365, GEVER or comparable applications is desired
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• Strong communication skills as well as enjoyment in working with different stakeholders
