IT Intern - Focus on Application Support 80-100%

Our ICT is a central pillar of the Universitäts-Kinderspital beider Basel (UKBB). It ensures the smooth operation of clinical and administrative applications, thereby supporting the medical care of our patients daily. In an interdisciplinary environment, our IT combines technical expertise with a high understanding of the requirements of a modern hospital operation.

Start date: immediately or by arrangement, fixed-term for 12 months

Your tasks

• Collaboration in the support of the Clinical Information System (KIS) KISIM as well as the laboratory system i/med
• Support in the maintenance and processing of master data in the KIS and LIS (e.g., methods, findings)
• Collaboration in the configuration of findings and cumulative findings
• Collaboration in PHP programming (e.g., adaptations or creation of laboratory profiles)
• Support in the introduction of new modules and functions
• Participation in projects in the area of ICT applications
• Collaboration in 2nd Level Support for the supported applications (after introduction)
• Creation and maintenance of documentation, mockups and other technical documents

Your profile

• Ongoing or completed training in the IT environment (e.g., computer science, mediamatics, ICT specialist) or comparable interest
• Initial experience or great interest in the area of application support and IT support
• Confident handling of Microsoft solutions (Windows 11, Microsoft 365)
• Enjoyment of a structured, independent way of working as well as reliability
• Strong willingness to learn and interest in technical platforms and solutions
• Affinity for the healthcare sector and interest in daily hospital life
