The Kantonsspital Obwalden is an innovative, versatile primary care hospital in Central Switzerland with clinics for General, Trauma and Visceral Surgery, Orthopaedics, Internal Medicine, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Spinal Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics as well as Anesthesia. For our interdisciplinary emergency station, we are looking for a Dipl. Experte/in Notfallpflege NDS HF or Nursing Specialist HF with emergency experience (a) 50-100% starting October 01, 2026 or by arrangement, with the option for an additional function as a trainer. Your responsibilities * Triage of all incoming patients * Telephone triage: You assess incoming patient calls according to urgency and advise callers on medical questions * Responsibility for the initial assessment and initiating first medical measures * Professional and competent care of our emergency patients * Close cooperation with the medical service and participation in preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic measures * Application of various immobilization and fixation techniques * Active participation in the further development of our interdisciplinary emergency station. Your competencies * Holistic specialist competence and the ability to assess extraordinary situations quickly * Dipl. Experte / Expertin Notfallpflege NDS HF or experience in emergency nursing * You possess high social competence and are characterized by structured thinking, motivation and a sense of responsibility * You enjoy making your concrete contribution to interdisciplinary cooperation * You value the shared responsibility for compliance with our quality standards and the continuous optimization of processes.
