The Civil Engineering Office is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of cantonal roads, as well as hydraulic engineering and slow traffic in Graubünden. Furthermore, we take care of the operational maintenance of national highways within the cantonal territory. The canton's road infrastructure includes over 1'450 structures, including bridges at airy heights of up to 90 meters and tunnels up to 3 kilometers in length. Your area of responsibility * Overall responsibility for the operational, personnel, and strategic leadership of the District Civil Engineering Office with approx. 50 employees, who work decentrally in various base locations * Responsible for the operational and structural maintenance of cantonal roads as well as the expansion of connecting roads * Leadership, promotion, and further development of employees as well as ensuring a service-oriented administrative culture * Representation of the Civil Engineering Office in the district as well as coordination and cooperation with municipalities, cantonal authorities, engineering offices, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders in the district. What we wish for from you * Completed technical studies, master builder, or comparable training in the field of civil engineering, civil engineering, or related disciplines * Several years of professional and leadership experience, ideally in public administration, civil engineering, or an infrastructural environment * Strong leadership personality with high social competence, integrity, and assertiveness * Ability to motivate employees, develop teams, and live an appreciative leadership culture * Negotiation skills and experience in dealing with various interest groups * Confident appearance as well as stylish oral and written communication in German * Good Romansh knowledge is an advantage.
