Data Center Network Engineer (Cisco)

Tasks that challenge you and make you better every day ##

• You develop and implement modern Data Center Fabrics based on Cisco technologies such as Nexus Dashboard, Nexus Hyperfabric, and Cisco ACI.
• You create technical Low Level Designs (LLD), are responsible for deployments, and support the operation of complex Data Center network infrastructures.
• You support our architects in the elaboration of High Level Designs (HLD) as well as with technical queries in the context of RFPs and RFIs.
• You advise our customers in technical workshops and accompany them in the further development of their Data Center networks.
• You analyze complex network problems and perform root cause analyses as part of 3rd level support.
• You create and maintain technical documentation and drive the automation of deployments and operational processes.
• You work closely with our specialists from the fields of Security, Systems, and Cloud and develop holistic Data Center solutions together with them.

What you bring with you ##

• Several years of experience in the design and especially in the implementation of modern Data Center Fabrics based on Cisco technologies.
• Sound knowledge of Cisco Nexus, Cisco ACI, and modern spine-leaf architectures.
• Deep technical understanding of Data Center network technologies such as BGP EVPN, VXLAN, OSPF, and IS-IS as well as Policy-Based Redirect (PBR).
• Experience with the integration of Layer-4 to Layer-7 services such as firewalls and load balancers into Data Center network infrastructures.
• Sound knowledge in network segmentation, especially macro-segmentation, as well as experience with multi-site or multi-pod architectures.
• A Cisco CCNP Data Center certification (DCOR with focus on DCID or DCIT) or comparable proven technical expertise.
• You work independently, think solution-oriented, and actively contribute your own ideas to technical projects and the further development of our business unit.

• Cisco Black Belt certifications in the field of Data Center.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus Dashboard, Nexus Hyperfabric, and the automation of Data Center networks.
• Interest in forward-looking technologies around AI-Ready Data Centers and Networking for AI.
• Knowledge or initial practical experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) networking, RDMA, and RoCEv2.
• Joy in evaluating new technologies, helping to shape technical standards, and passing on your knowledge within the team.
