Scientific Assistant Social Science Research 60-80 % (f/m/d)
This research project investigates how digital technologies and data change spatial planning practice. It develops a theoretical model that describes the interplay of people, technologies, and planning processes and creates the foundation for a reflective handling of the digitalization of planning. To this end, an interdisciplinary team carries out a variety of empirical studies.
Your tasks primarily include supporting researchers in the preparation and analysis of qualitative data from interviews, documents, and ethnographic observations, conducting literature research, as well as the organization of workshops. In addition, you will support the project management with administrative tasks. You have a Master's degree in human geography, urban research, science and technology studies (STS), sociology, anthropology, or a related field. You are interested in urban spaces and have experience in social science research. In particular, you have experience in the independent analysis of qualitative social science data from interviews and documents and are familiar with relevant software such as and/or MAXQDA. Experience in web scraping, online research, conducting expert interviews, and organizing workshops is an advantage.
