Assistant Doctor / Resident in Internal Medicine

For the Clinic for Internal Medicine of the Kantonsspital, we are looking for an assistant doctor / resident from the end of 2028 / beginning of 2029. We are a Category A training clinic for General Internal Medicine. Every year, 3'500 inpatient patients are treated on the general internal medicine wards and just as many outpatient emergencies on the interdisciplinary emergency department. The medical team consists of 13 senior physicians, 5 attending physicians, and 21 assistant doctors. Our areas of expertise are General Internal Medicine, Acute Geriatrics, Cardiology, Oncology, Neurology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Angiology, Pneumology, Hematology, Endocrinology, Dermatology (consultative), and Emergency Medicine. Areas of deployment for our assistant doctors are the general internal medicine wards, Acute Geriatrics, the emergency department, and cardiopulmonary function diagnostics, as well as the intensive care unit and the dialysis unit. ### What to expect • Rotation on the wards of the Clinic for Internal Medicine • Deployment in Acute Geriatrics • Deployment in the interdisciplinary emergency department • Rotation in cardiopulmonary diagnostics • Deployment in the interdisciplinary intensive care unit (with corresponding suitability and desire) • Deployment in dialysis What you bring to us • Very good German language skills in spoken and written language (minimum requirement level C1) • Technical and social competence in dealing with patients and relatives • Commitment and enthusiasm in a clinically interdisciplinary activity • Sense of responsibility, initiative, team spirit, resilience, and independence • Federal medical diploma or equivalent MEBEKO recognition Please attach work certificates and diplomas and specify the period of availability in the letter of motivation.
