Chemical Laboratory Technician - Quality Control

For our Quality Control Chemical Analysis team at our modern location in St. Gallen, we are looking for a committed personality as Chemical Laboratory Technician - Quality Control (100%) (m/f/d) In this role, you will perform chemical analyses of raw materials, active ingredients, and finished products, thereby making an important contribution to ensuring our high quality standards. Your focus will be on wet chemical testing and instrumental analysis. In doing so, you will work in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment with modern analytical devices and, together with your team, contribute significantly to the quality and safety of our products. Competencies and Responsibilities • Execution and evaluation of analyses on raw materials, active ingredients, and finished products as part of quality control. • Execution of wet chemical analyses as well as simple instrumental analysis, including density measurement, thin-layer chromatography (TLC), NIR, and UV/Vis. • GMP-compliant, complete, and traceable documentation of the analyses performed, as well as recording of data and results in the LIMS. • Execution of raw data controls according to the training matrix and maintenance of relevant logbooks. • Calibration, functional testing, and verification of analytical devices as well as careful and safety-conscious handling of apparatus and installations. • Monitoring and management of consumables and chemicals. • Participation in the implementation of new analytical methods as well as in the creation and revision of testing specifications, working instructions, and forms. • Ensuring compliance with GMP, quality, and safety requirements, as well as timely reporting of deviations and extraordinary events. • Active cooperation within the laboratory team and support of reliable and timely laboratory operations. Qualifications and Professional Experience • Completed training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician EFZ or a comparable laboratory technical education. • Practical knowledge in chemical analysis, especially in wet chemistry and/or instrumental analysis. • Experience in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment and in handling quality management systems is an advantage. • Confident handling of digital applications and common MS Office programs; experience with LIMS or comparable laboratory systems is an advantage. • Very good German skills in speaking and writing, as well as good English skills. • Independent, precise, and reliable way of working with a strong sense of quality and responsibility. • Team-oriented and communicative personality as well as flexibility and willingness to learn new methods, devices, and digital solutions.
