• Lead and be responsible for anticipation and military-strategic prospective planning for the benefit of armed forces development
• Develop the prospective planning area and lead it professionally, substantively, and personally
• Be responsible for and further develop the research management for the Defense group
• Analyze national and international reports on developments in the fields of security policy, economy, and military doctrine
• Conduct training regarding prospective analysis, research, and anticipation for the benefit of the Defense group

What makes you unique

• University degree (Master)
• Leadership experience in the army, administration, or in business
• Experience in dealing with databases and the use of artificial intelligence
• Very good knowledge of security policy and general military knowledge
• Good active knowledge of at least one second official language and passive knowledge of a third official language
• Very good English skills

Der Armeestab (A Stab) supports the Chief of the Army in leading the Defense departmental area and is responsible for the overall military planning and development of the Swiss Army. Here, in accordance with political specifications, the strategic foundations, armed forces development, and army and armament planning are developed, and tasks in the international security context are performed. The leadership, management, and coordination of all cross-cutting areas (personnel, finance, real estate) also fall within the responsibility of the Armeestabs.

The Swiss Army employs over 9'000 employees in four military and around 200 civilian professions - and this at 110 locations throughout Switzerland. Provision is also made for newcomers: The Swiss Army trains apprentices in over 30 professions.
