Employee Freight Forwarding & Transport Calculation (m/f/d) - Road Haulage

Your tasks ###

• Independent calculation and creation of transport offers and daily prices for national and international transports (less-than-truckload, part, and full loads as well as special and direct transports)
• Evaluation of transport inquiries and determination of market-oriented freight rates, taking into account tolls, diesel/energy surcharges and other transport-related cost factors
• Checking incoming shipments and transport data in the groupage inbound
• Clarification of discrepancies in quantities, weights, dimensions, transit times and other transport specifications
• Communication and coordination with customers, freight forwarding and transport partners as well as internal contact persons
• Independent and solution-oriented clarification of questions and discrepancies within the scope of transport processing
• Documentation and maintenance of order, transport and price data to ensure transparent and traceable processing

Your profile ###

• Commercial training, ideally in the field of freight forwarding, logistics or transport; alternatively a comparable qualification or relevant professional experience
• Experience in freight forwarding, order processing, calculation, sales back office or offer creation, ideally in road haulage
• Confident handling of numbers and freight rates as well as a good understanding of the economic evaluation of transport offers
• Knowledge of tolls, diesel/energy surcharges and other transport-related costs is desirable
• Confident use of Microsoft 365 and common freight forwarding software as well as quick familiarization with new IT systems
• Independent, structured and reliable way of working as well as strong customer and solution orientation
• Strong communication skills and a reliable appearance when dealing with customers, freight forwarding and transport partners as well as internal contact persons
