Senior ICT System Engineer / Technical Project Lead (m/f/d)

Innovative products, customer-specific solutions, and a powerful service and support organization have made SKAN a market leader and an important partner to industry and research laboratories.     At a glance   For our ICT Engineering & Operations team, we are looking for an experienced Senior ICT System Engineer / Technical Project Lead with sound experience in Microsoft-based hybrid cloud infrastructures. In this role, you will actively develop our ICT landscape and assume technical responsibility for demanding infrastructure and cloud projects. You will connect on-premises systems with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 and drive topics such as cloud integration, Identity & Access Management, security, standardization, and automation. In doing so, you will combine technical engineering know-how with project responsibility.     Tasks   • Leadership and technical coordination of ICT infrastructure and hybrid cloud projects from planning to implementation • Conception, operation, and further development of our hybrid Microsoft infrastructure with on-premises systems, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft 365 • Administration and further development of Microsoft Entra ID, Identity & Access Management (IAM), as well as PKI and certificate services. Including MFA, Conditional Access, role and permission concepts, as well as lifecycle management of certificates • Further development and modernization of central Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud services, as well as gradual migration into hybrid or cloud-based architectures • Integration of remote locations into a unified, secure, and scalable ICT infrastructure • Co-design of security, governance, backup, recovery, and data concepts • Standardization and automation of operational and administration processes, especially with PowerShell • Ensuring stable, secure, and performant operation as well as support with troubleshooting, root-cause analyses, and complex 2nd/3rd-level topics • Creation of technical documentation as well as collaboration with internal stakeholders, external partners, and suppliers   Hardskills   • Degree in computer science, higher vocational training, or a comparable qualification • At least 5 years of professional experience in the ICT infrastructure environment, ideally with experience in technical project management • Sound experience with Microsoft-based hybrid cloud infrastructures • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Entra ID • Experience with Identity & Access Management, MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC, and hybrid identity scenarios • Sound experience with Microsoft PKI / Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) as well as certificate management and Certificate Lifecycle Management • Sound knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy (GPO) • Experience with the integration and modernization of on-premises and cloud infrastructures • Experience with cloud migration projects as well as the automation of operational and administration tasks • Sound ITIL knowledge and practical experience with IT service management processes, especially incident, problem, and change management, is mandatory     Softskills   • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical content in a target-group-oriented manner • Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented way of working with high initiative and a hands-on mentality • Ability to effectively combine technical engineering, operational responsibility, and project control • Strong team, cooperation, and service orientation in dealing with various stakeholders • Ability to prepare, justify, and convincingly represent technical decisions based on sound reasoning • Openness to continuous further training as well as new cloud, security, automation, and AI technologies       We offer   • An open and collegial corporate culture • Freedom for ideas • Participation in sports and leisure activities • Support through further training, especially at our SKAN Academy • Intensive and job-oriented onboarding • Short decision-making paths and flat hierarchies • Open communication policy • 5 weeks of vacation and the possibility for additional vacation days     Further information   We look forward to receiving your complete application documents (CV, diplomas, and work certificates), which you can submit directly via our career page.
