Finance & Controlling Specialist (40 %)

Since 2015, we have been offering our customers high-quality products and services at affordable prices – at the customer's home, in the showrooms and in the online shop. With our own curtain manufacturing in Hungary, we also design part of our production ourselves.

In order to continue developing our company on a reliable financial basis, we are looking for an experienced personality for finance and controlling. You create transparency, question numbers and support the management and the department heads in their decisions. In doing so, you work closely with our external fiduciary partner and the accounting of our Hungarian subsidiary. You report directly to the management and support the executive board and the board of directors with sound decision-making bases.

On the company side, you are responsible for the quality, consistency and meaningfulness of the financial reporting as a basis for decision-making. You check and explain the numbers and approve the management reporting. Our fiduciary partner Auditrium prepares the accounting and the financial statements and is responsible for the professional accounting processing within the framework of its mandate.

Responsibilities / Main tasks

• You coordinate the monthly financial reporting and check the numbers for completeness, plausibility and consistency.
• You analyze significant plan/actual deviations, explain their causes and derive concrete recommendations for action for the management and the department heads.
• You further develop the controlling and create understandable evaluations of costs, margins and profitability of our business units as well as our production in Hungary.
• You accompany budgeting and forecasts together with the management and the department heads.
• You create and maintain the liquidity forecast and make cash flow, working capital and capital commitment transparent.
• You prepare investment calculations and sound decision-making bases for investments and assess their impact on profitability and liquidity.
• You coordinate the financial interfaces between the Swiss company, the Hungarian subsidiary and the external accounting and fiduciary partners.
• You accompany monthly and annual financial statements on the company side and ensure that open questions and reconciliations are clarified promptly.
• You improve financial processes and data quality and use existing digital tools such as Power BI for efficient reporting.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Commercial basic training with further training in finance and accounting or controlling, for example federal diploma of higher education, or comparable qualification.
• Several years of practical experience in finance and controlling, ideally in an SME with trade or production.
• Confidence in assessing the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow as well as experience with budgeting, investment calculations and business evaluations.
• Very good knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets; experience with Power BI and digital financial processes is an advantage.
• Very good German skills; English for cooperation with the accounting department of our subsidiary in Hungary.
