DBA - Database Administrator

On behalf of one of our clients, a recognized player in its sector and based in the canton of Vaud, we are looking for a Database Administrator to strengthen its IT team as part of a replacement and continuity of activities. DBA - Database Administrator Our client is a company based in Lausanne Missions Attached to the Application Manager, you will play a key role in the management, optimization and security of the company's database platforms. You will be responsible for the availability, integrity and performance of the data, while contributing to the evolution projects of the information system. Administer and maintain production databases. Ensure monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance of environments. Implement and supervise backup, restoration and business recovery procedures. Analyze and optimize database performance. Ensure data security and compliance with good administration practices. Participate in integration and production projects for new applications. Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Applications and Security teams. Document procedures and contribute to the continuous improvement of technical standards. Ensure technological monitoring on topics related to databases and data management. Candidate profile Education and experience Higher education in computer science (HES, EPF or equivalent level). Minimum 6 years of professional experience in database administration. Confirmed experience in critical environments requiring a high level of availability. Technical skills Excellent mastery of relational databases: Oracle Microsoft SQL Server PostgreSQL MariaDB Good knowledge of NoSQL technologies: MongoDB Redis Elasticsearch / Elastic Solid skills on environments: Microsoft Windows Server Linux Unix Familiarity with collaborative tools and agile methodologies: Azure DevOps Jira Confluence Personal skills Sense of organization and rigor. Ability to work independently. Analytical and problem-solving spirit. Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders. Technical curiosity and marked interest in data and security issues. Excellent communication skills. Languages Current French, spoken and written. Good level of technical English (B1/B2).
