Kantonsschule Stadelhofen Filiale Dübendorf Physics Assistant 80 - 100% The Dübendorf branch of Kantonsschule Stadelhofen has been running a lower secondary gymnasium, a short-term gymnasium, and a commercial middle school since the 2026/27 school year. In full operation, it offers space for 650 students on the Empa campus. In the summer of 2027, another building will open in Dübendorf - also for 650 students. Physics teaching starts in the 2027/28 school year. For the construction phase as well as the subsequent school operations at our two locations, we are looking for a committed, independently working personality as a central member of our physics department starting in April or May 2027. Your tasks * Responsibility for the flawless condition of the entire physics collection (equipment and experiments) and the inventory * Support in setting up demonstration experiments and in the preparation of practical lessons * Development and construction of new experimental apparatus and storage solutions * Repairs and new acquisitions * Collaboration in projects and support for Matura theses * Co-determination in the procurement and setup of the subject-specific infrastructure Your profile * Completed vocational training as a Physics Laboratory Technician EFZ, a completed technical apprenticeship (in the fields of electromechanics or electronics) or equivalent qualification, preferably several years of practice in a similar role * Broad manual skills (including basic knowledge in CAD and 3D printing) * Good German language skills (spoken and written) and common IT skills in the MS Office area * Independent, reliable and careful way of working as well as good organizational skills * Service-oriented, flexible and team player with open and respectful communication * Enjoyment in dealing with young people Our offer We offer an interesting, versatile activity in an unusual, dynamic and meaningful environment of a middle school.
