In addition, specialist medical examinations and consultations for the specialties of gastroenterology, cardiology, pneumology, endocrinology, and oncology are carried out in the medical outpatient clinic. Furthermore, a certified acute geriatrics unit and a certified palliative care ward exist within the clinic. Long-term advertisement for our long-term recruitment (Clinic Category A) As an established, primary care regional hospital in the greater Zurich area with 173 beds, we offer you a well-founded, two- to three-year training at the highest level in the Department of Emergency and Acute Medicine at Spital Zollikerberg. Important note regarding the application process: This advertisement serves for continuous, proactive recruitment for our fixed pool of approximately 34 assistant physicians. We are not filling acute vacancies this way, but rather planning our staff assignments long-term in advance following the completion of the regular 2 to 3-year curricula (approx. 16 positions per year). Your tasks with us: • Patient care: Comprehensive medical care of inpatient and outpatient patients (over 3,000 inpatient cases, over 20,000 emergencies per year) with mostly complex, multimorbid clinical pictures - closely supervised by regular chief physician visits as well as our leading and senior physician management team • Clinical documentation: Responsibility for the seamless electronic medical record, the writing of concise reports, and professional interface communication with referrers and subsequent institutions • Operational maintenance: Active participation in shift service to ensure seamless 24/7/365 patient care within the team Get a first impression of your new place of work with our 360° tour. Requirements for our selection process: • Clinical prior experience: We primarily address colleagues who already bring at least 1-2 years of clinical experience in General Internal Medicine. This allows you a direct, efficient entry into our complex ward and emergency processes (career starters can only be considered in exceptional cases). • Language competence: Very good German skills in speaking and writing at level C2, native language or equivalent certificate. These are required for demanding patient communication, medical documentation, and cooperation with referring professionals. • Diploma recognition: A successfully completed degree in human medicine. For foreign degrees, official MEBEKO recognition (diploma and any study titles) must already be present and enclosed with the application documents.
