Ittigen, Switzerland (and Home Office) | 80-80% Your contribution <br /> • Manage the national measurement network for the observation of groundwater quality (NAQUA) technically and organizationally • Conceptually design and coordinate the program of chemical analyses for the monitoring of groundwater quality together with the cantonal specialist offices • Contribute to the conceptual and operational development of the national groundwater observation • Accompany projects from research institutions, private laboratories or engineering offices • Follow scientific developments regarding groundwater quality; participate in working groups and represent the BAFU in committees • Write specialist publications and reports as well as answer questions from the media and politics on the subject of observation of groundwater quality <br /> What makes you unique <br /> • University degree in engineering sciences or natural sciences, ideally supplemented by a doctoral thesis • Experience in the areas of environmental chemistry and groundwater quality • Strong analytical skills, negotiation skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various interlocutors (federal and cantonal authorities, specialists, etc.) • Experience in project management and in accompanying working groups and expert committees • Innovative and independent personality who enjoys working with many different contact persons and accepts challenges • Good active knowledge of at least one second official language and, if possible, knowledge of a third official language <br /> In a nutshell You make a decisive contribution to ensuring that the federal administration and the cantons have reliable, scientifically based foundations for assessing groundwater quality and can recognize developments at an early stage.
