Valucor is an actuarial consulting company with locations in Zürich and Liechtenstein. Our eight-member team consists of qualified actuaries as well as employees in training to become an Aktuar SAV. Our clients include health, life, and non-life insurers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, whom we support with actuarial and regulatory issues as well as with data- and model-driven analyses. Many of these client relationships have existed for years.

The position is aimed at career starters as well as persons with up to two years of professional experience who wish to complete or have already begun the training to become an Aktuar SAV. Due to our size, you will take on responsibility early and work directly with our clients.

Your role:

• Collaboration in the valuation of technical insurance provisions as well as in SST and Solvency II calculations within the framework of our mandates as responsible actuaries and as an actuarial function
• Collaboration in the auditing and calculation of premiums as well as in profitability analyses for various insurance branches
• Creation of reports, presentations, and analyses for clients, management, and supervisory authorities
• Data preparation, data analyses, and automation of evaluations and processes
• Collaboration in projects at the interface of actuarial science, data analysis, and technology

Your profile:

• Completed university degree (University or Fachhochschule) in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Physics, Data Science, or a comparable quantitative field that enables the commencement of the Aktuar SAV training
• A started SAV training as well as initial practical experience in the actuarial environment, the insurance industry, or in data analysis are an advantage
• Programming and data analysis skills, especially in Python or R, as well as good Excel skills
• Interest in data management, data-driven solutions, and automation
• Analytical mindset as well as a structured and independent way of working
• Very good German skills (at least C1) and good English skills (at least B2) in spoken and written form, as communication with our clients takes place predominantly in German
• Valid work permit for Switzerland (Swiss or EU/EFTA nationality or corresponding permit). Unfortunately, we cannot carry out permit procedures for persons from third countries.
