System Engineer Open Source & Collaboration Platforms (Linux/OpenShift)

• IT - ERP & Applications • IT - IT Infrastructure & Operations • Bern • Contracting • Full-time • Immediately - 30.06.2027 (with option for internalization) • Systems Engineering / Infrastructure, Linux, Red Hat Your tasks: • Installation, integration and configuration of open-source applications on Linux servers (RHEL) and OpenShift • Connection and integration of existing systems such as LDAP, SSO, Mail, Backup, Reverse Proxy, Active Directory and monitoring solutions • Automation of operational and deployment processes with tools such as Ansible • Support of operations and specialist departments in analysis, troubleshooting and performance optimization • Close cooperation with Product Owners as well as development, DevSecOps, network and security teams • Ensuring standardized, reproducible and secure operation across different environments • Continuous further development of the existing infrastructure in the areas of redundancy, automation, logging and monitoring • Development and optimization of scripts and tooling with Python and Shell • Creation of technical documentation, user manuals and operating instructions • Conducting training and supporting the introduction of new tools and platforms • Participation in the further development of modern open-source solutions within a secure private cloud environment   Your profile: • Completed technical training (EFZ) with further training at HF/FH level in informatics or comparable qualification • Sound experience in Linux system administration, especially with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) • Very good knowledge of container orchestration with Kubernetes, ideally OpenShift • Practical experience in the implementation and operation of open-source applications on Linux and container platforms • Good understanding of network technologies, web servers (Apache/Nginx), databases (MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL) as well as IT security concepts • Experience with automation and configuration management tools, especially Ansible • Knowledge of GitOps, CI/CD as well as the "Everything as Code" approach • Experience with LDAP and SSO integrations is an advantage • Enthusiasm for open-source technologies and agile working methods • Strong teamwork skills, communication skills and solution-oriented way of working • Enjoyment of exchange with customers and specialist departments as well as confident appearance towards technical contact persons • Very good German and good English skills in spoken and written form • Impeccable reputation, as well as resident in Switzerland for at least the last 5 years
