Job Description

As a Senior Fire Safety Engineer / AEAI Project Manager, you will play a key role in the design and implementation of innovative fire protection solutions adapted to complex construction projects.

In close collaboration with architects, clients, general/total contractors, as well as our internal specialists, you will be a trusted interlocutor to support projects from the design phase to their completion.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Develop fire protection concepts and strategies for complex projects in accordance with AEAI/VKF requirements.
• Advise clients, architects, and project teams to propose technically relevant and economically optimized solutions.
• Independently manage fire safety projects, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure their proper implementation.
• Ensure the monitoring of the implementation of fire protection measures on construction sites.
• Prepare, check, and sign documents related to AEAI compliance.
• Develop fire interlocking matrices and coordinate full testing of fire safety installations.
• Collaborate with different building specialists within WSP's multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in the development of our fire safety expertise and services in Switzerland.

Required Profile

You are an experienced fire safety professional, passionate about technical challenges and the realization of high-quality engineering solutions.

You possess:

• A federal certificate as an AEAI specialist in fire protection or an equivalent qualification recognized by SEFRI.
• A Bachelor-level education in the field of construction, engineering, or a similar discipline.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in fire protection, fire safety, or quality assurance in this field.
• Solid knowledge of construction techniques, regulations, and building-related systems.
• Experience in project management as well as in communication with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• A proactive, collaborative personality and excellent communication skills.
• French as a native language; good knowledge of German is an asset.
