The Kantonsschule Aussersihl (KAS) emerges from the Hohlstrasse branch of the Kantonsschule Wiedikon, which has been established since the 2024/25 school year. It will be founded as an independent secondary school for the 2027/28 school year. In this exciting phase of establishment and development, there is the opportunity to actively help shape the cultural, organizational, and pedagogical identity of a new Zurich Kantonsschule. We are advertising the position of Rector for the management of the Kantonsschule Aussersihl as of 1 March 2027.

Your tasks ###

You will take over the overall pedagogical, personnel, and organizational management of the Kantonsschule Aussersihl and play a decisive role in shaping its development during the establishment phase.

• Strategic, pedagogical, and operational leadership of the school
• Leadership and development of the school management, teachers, and staff
• Further development of teaching quality and school culture
• Responsibility for personnel, financial, and resource planning
• Cooperation with cantonal authorities and other stakeholders
• Assumption of a teaching workload

Your profile ###

You have a university degree, a teaching diploma for maturity schools, many years of teaching experience at the gymnasium level, as well as extensive leadership experience in the education sector. You think strategically, communicate persuasively, and shape changes with joy and conviction.
