As Head of Road Region, you are responsible for both the structural and operational road maintenance as well as the further development of the transport infrastructure. If you can enthusiasm yourself for a varied area of responsibility at the interface between construction activities, leadership and politics, you have come to the right place. What you will achieve with us * You lead the road region with around 45 employees in two maintenance districts and bear overall responsibility for the operation and maintenance of our transport facilities as well as the implementation of road construction projects * As the owner of the state roads, you maintain the dialogue with municipalities, authorities and the population and act as a central contact person * Together with your project managers, you prioritize, control and realize maintenance projects over the entire project cycle * You drive innovations in civil engineering forward and further develop standards for sustainable and economical road maintenance * You actively participate as a member of the management board of the Road Inspectorate With this you bring * You are experienced in dealing with various stakeholders and can skillfully respond to different concerns * Through your strong negotiation skills, you find good solutions for the parties involved * You have several years of leadership experience and know how to successfully lead and develop operational teams as well as project managers * You have a completed degree as a civil engineer or a comparable education as well as sound professional experience in civil engineering * You recognize developments in civil engineering early and actively drive topics such as sustainability, digitalization or new construction methods forward How we inspire you You take responsibility for the fastest-growing region of the Canton of Zurich.
