Job Summary

The Basel factory is a high-performance production facility of Nestlé Suisse S.A. and manufactures culinary products of the brand THOMY for domestic and foreign markets. For our Engineering department, we are looking for a committed person as a technical buyer (m/f) immediately or by arrangement. You are responsible for the operational and administrative procurement of technical products and services. You ensure that materials and services are procured on time, economically, and in the required quality

A day in the life of a technical buyer 50%

• Requesting, comparing, and evaluating offers based on technical specifications
• Conducting price and contract negotiations with suppliers
• Creation and processing of purchase orders in SAP
• Monitoring delivery dates as well as ensuring timely material availability
• Commercial processing of the entire procurement process
• Checking and processing order confirmations, delivery notes, and invoices
• Maintenance of supplier and material master data in the SAP system
• Support in supplier evaluations and supplier developments
• Processing of complaints and deviations in cooperation with the specialist departments
• Coordination and cooperation with engineering, production, project management, and finance
• Participation in the optimization of purchasing processes and procurement strategies in coordination with our central purchasing
• Ensuring compliance with internal specifications, quality standards, and compliance guidelines

What makes you successful

• Completed vocational training (technical or commercial) or many years of experience in a similar position
• Preferably good SAP knowledge
• Preferably basic technical training or technical flair
• Proactive organizational talent with high service orientation
• Good negotiation skills with suppliers
• Very good German skills, French and English are an advantage
