As a foundation of the Swiss Red Cross, Blutspende SRK Nordwestschweiz ensures the life-saving supply of blood products for the entire region. With the largest immunohematological laboratory in Northwest Switzerland and one of the few research departments in this field nationwide, we set standards in transfusion medicine. Our Basel location, as one of only three stem cell and bone marrow collection centers in Switzerland, is of national importance and maintains a close partnership with the Universitätsspital Basel. The extensive supply network extends from Basel city center via the cantonal hospitals Aarau, Baden and Olten to the Bürgerspital Solothurn, Spital Zofingen and Muri. Furthermore, we conduct over 230 mobile blood donation campaigns per year in municipalities, companies and schools.
