Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f) 80 - 100% ## You conceive, develop, and accompany mechanical functions, individual parts, and assemblies from the idea to industrialization - embedded in demanding development projects according to the BERNINA product creation process. Your responsibilities: ### • Independent design of mechanical functions according to specifications (Design for Function) and considering platform and cost strategies • Development and detailing of process-capable individual parts for different manufacturing processes (Design for Manufacturing) • Design of assemblies with a focus on assembly and service friendliness (Design for Assembly / Service) • Technical support for industrialization in an international environment • Validation of your designs using analytical methods (e.g., FEM and tolerance analyses) as well as experiments and reviews • Responsibility for function, deadlines, and costs of your developments  What you bring: ### • Completed degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable field • Professional experience in the design and development of consumer goods with high production numbers • Pronounced design competence; experience with precision mechanical components is an advantage • Very good knowledge of 3D-CAD (e.g., Solid Edge), PLM (e.g., Teamcenter) • Structured, independent work style, combined with perseverance, willingness to learn, and team skills • Very good German and good English in word and writing What you can expect from BERNINA: ### • Demanding development work with high technical depth and quality focus, combined with meaningful work - you develop technologies that bring creative joy to people worldwide • Collaboration with experienced experts in interdisciplinary teams • The reliability of a family-run Swiss company with international orientation • Flexibility to reconcile professional and private life as well as modern working models • A workplace directly on the beautiful Lake Constance, where others take vacations • An open feedback culture, flat hierarchies, and development opportunities For this position, only direct applications will be considered.   We live a "you" culture and write TEAMWORK in capital letters.
