Project Manager Urban Design / Open Space 60 % City Administration St.Gallen / Urban Planning / as of 1 November 2026 or by arrangement   Your new task Your field of activity is versatile and includes the coordination of projects in the area of urban design and in themes of public space for sustainable urban development. In doing so, you will accompany feasibility studies and variance procedures and work in interdisciplinary teams on projects for squares and street spaces as well as the implementation of the open space strategy.   This position is suitable for you if • You have training in urban design / architecture, landscape architecture or another spatial discipline for the urban living space. • You have experience and competencies in the management of projects as well as the application of informal and formal planning instruments and quality assurance procedures, as well as in topics of urban climate and sustainability. • You wish to engage in interdisciplinary cooperation with specialist departments within the Directorate of Planning and Construction as well as with other directorates. • You are motivated to work in the tension between private and public interests as well as in the environment of politics and administration.   Your department 1. Urban Planning is responsible for the spatial and structural development of the city. We process diverse tasks in the areas of urban design / open space, monument preservation, spatial planning, as well as area and site development. We maintain professional exchange within our team as well as with colleagues from other departments. The short distances to important interfaces of the city administration and the collegial interaction with each other support our work.
