For an established service company in the Bern area, we are looking for an experienced personality as Lead IT Infrastructure Engineer (m/w) immediately or by arrangement. In this versatile role, you will work independently, actively contribute to the further development of the area, and gradually take on additional technical responsibility.

What awaits you:

• Design, operation, and further development of the IT infrastructure
• Participation in architecture, lifecycle, and technology decisions
• Technical responsibility in the areas of Microsoft infrastructure, virtualization, storage, backup, as well as workplace and VDI
• Planning and implementation of infrastructure changes and technical projects
• Analysis and solution of complex technical malfunctions
• Leadership and coordination tasks within the engineering team
• Support and further development of the engineers regarding technical and organizational questions
• Further development of standards, documentation, and technical solutions
• Cooperation with support, internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners

What you should bring with you:

• Completed vocational training as Informatiker EFZ or comparable education
• Several years of experience as a System Engineer in demanding IT environments
• Experience in design, operation, and troubleshooting of complex IT infrastructures
• Broad know-how in Microsoft Server & Cloud, virtualization, storage, backup, and VDI
• Good knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365
• Experience with VMware, ideally also Citrix
• Experience in the leadership and further development of employees
• Independent, structured, and customer-oriented way of working
• Business-fluent Swiss German and German skills as well as good English and/or French skills
