This is your contribution • Compile, summarize, and evaluate information from complex cases using versatile analytical methods. • Detection and assessment of threats to the security interests of Switzerland through networks of actors and their activities. Recognize trends in the development of these threats within Switzerland. • Creation of various types of reports and conducting briefings for customers and partners of the NDB. • Support the strategic management of intelligence investigation and analysis, in particular through participation in working groups and coordination projects within the NDB as well as between the NDB and its national partners. • Ensure cooperation and relationship management with partners of the NDB in Switzerland as well as abroad. What makes you unique • University degree at least at Master's level, or proven experience as a criminal police investigator, or as a professional soldier with intelligence experience. Broad knowledge of national as well as international security policy issues. Ideally professional experience in the field of intelligence services, and/or other security areas of the federal administration including operational aspects. Profiles from other sectors can also be considered. • Investigative and methodical skills, ability to structure complex and heterogeneous data and make it understandable, excellent analytical and editorial skills, the ability to give presentations before a demanding audience. • Teamwork skills, ability to collaborate with different interlocutors, openness to other opinions and cultures. • Balanced, discreet and professional personality. Adaptability, ability to manage high workloads even within short deadlines. • Swiss citizen with an impeccable reputation • Good active knowledge in two official languages orally and in writing; ideally good knowledge of the third official language. Very good oral and written knowledge of English. Russian, Chinese or Farsi are an advantage. The NDB deals with the early detection and combatting of terrorism, violent extremism, espionage, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their delivery technology as well as cyberattacks on critical infrastructures. Furthermore, the NDB procures and evaluates information that is important for security policy. In this way, it provides decisive contributions for the comprehensive assessment of the threat situation. At the federal level, the NDB primarily serves the Federal Council, the departments, and the military leadership with its products. It also supports the cantons in maintaining internal security and the law enforcement authorities at the federal level.
