The contribution you can make

• Elaborate analyses and evaluations on current and relevant issues and developments within the competence of the Federal Criminal Police
• Draft bases, reports, recommendations and opinions for various matters including parliamentary interventions, Federal Council matters, office consultations
• Handle cross-divisional matters and dossiers that present political-strategic correlations and perform, in this context, consultations with internal and external partners
• Provide support for management for the benefit of the directorate of the management area and the Office, prepare and arrange supporting documents, decision-making bases and basic information
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of strategies and tools for the purpose of enhancing the fight against crime and the operational police work carried out by the Federal Criminal Police

What distinguishes you

• University diploma preferably in law or equivalent training as well as, ideally, professional experience within a police force
• Excellent knowledge of Switzerland's internal security and national and foreign partner organizations as well as international security architecture and administrative procedures of the public administration
• In-depth knowledge of criminal prosecution, ideally combined with knowledge of operational tactics and police interventions
• Insight, analytical and structured approach, results-oriented way of working, high sense of responsibility and predisposition to work in interdisciplinary teams
• Excellent knowledge of two official languages and English

fedpol in action for Switzerland -- always & everywhere

fedpol combats serious forms of crime. The Federal Criminal Police (PGF) of fedpol investigates within the scope of criminal proceedings of the Confederation on serious forms of crime (e.g. terrorism, organized crime, human trafficking, cybercrime, economic crime), is responsible for the analysis of crime whose combat is of federal competence and provides support to the Cantons and foreign authorities within the scope of criminal and judicial police tasks.
The Management, Planning and Staff division of the PGF guarantees support for management for the benefit of the directorate and the divisions of the PGF. It deals with the handling of strategic and political matters, directs basic and continuous training in the field of criminal police and provides services in the sectors of personnel, finance, procurement and IT support.
