Accountant & Finance Manager 50–60 % We are a small, well-coordinated team of 9 people operating in Bülach and in Europe (Poland and the Balkan region) with a further 90 employees in sales as well as in the technical maintenance of diagnostic solutions. The main focus is on products and systems for blood typing and for supporting blood transfusions in the healthcare sector (laboratories, hospitals, and blood banks). Because our previous Accountant & Finance Manager is leaving the company, we are looking for a successor. You will work directly with the management, decide uncomplicatidly, and significantly shape your area yourself. The place of work is Bülach. Entry takes place in October/November 2026 or by arrangement. Your tasks Accounting: You will manage the financial accounting independently and prepare the annual financial statements according to OR Audit: You will prepare the audit and conduct it with the involvement of the management – including the role of contact person for the auditing body Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable: You are responsible for accounts receivable management including dunning procedures as well as accounts payable processing and payment transactions Cash and Liquidity Management: You plan and control liquidity, invest short-term funds with banks, and handle currency transactions (spot and forwards) Taxes: You coordinate cooperation with our Polish tax office and are the contact person for the tax authorities – VAT, Transfer Pricing, state and municipal taxes. You [prepare] the required documents and accompany tax audits; the audit and management support you in this Personnel Administration: Entries and exits, preparing and checking employment contracts, vacation and absence management, time tracking, work permits, wage statements, expense processing Payroll and Social Security: You are responsible for payroll accounting as well as the settlements with AHV/IV/EO, BVG, UVG/KTG and withholding tax What you bring with you Commercial basic training with further training in finance and accounting (e.g., federal diploma of higher education, fiduciary) or a comparable qualification Several years of experience in a comparable function, ideally as a sole accountant in an SME – you are proficient in closing statements and are familiar with VAT and tax topics Experience with SAP Business One is an advantage Good knowledge of the MS Office environment Good German skills as well as good English skills in spoken and written form – you are regularly in contact with partners in Poland, on the Balkan, and other countries Independent, structured, and reliable way of working: In a team of our size, you manage your area independently and also lend a hand where it is currently needed Interest in a long-term cooperation Discretion and careful handling of confidential information are a matter of course for you What we offer you Opportunity for handover: Our current job holder will accompany the 2026 annual closing and will train you where necessary Entrepreneurial freedom: Small team, short decision-making paths, direct contact with management Design possibilities: You can further develop processes and tools in your area yourself; we demand and promote good ideas/initiatives Long-term perspective: We are not filling this position for a few years, but are looking for someone who wants to build something up over the longer term Predictable workload: 50–60%, we will determine the distribution over the weekdays together.
