ACCOUNTANT / BUCHHALTER (80 - 100%) (M/W/D)

GOAL OF THE FUNCTION
As an Accountant, you take on a central operative role in accounting. You are responsible for the ongoing financial accounting, actively participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings as well as in tax and VAT topics, and support selected trade-related finance processes. At the same time, you participate in the further development of our accounting systems and processes.

YOUR TASKS

• You take on operative responsibility for the ongoing financial accounting including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, as well as account and bank reconciliations.
• You prepare payment transactions and process and control the relevant payment processes.
• You carry out closing work as part of the monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and ensure correct accruals, provisions, and closing entries.
• You participate in audits as well as in VAT and tax declarations and support the payroll area if required.
• You take over selected trade-related finance processes, in particular prepayments and broker commissions, and support receivables management.
• You create accounting evaluations and provide reliable accounting data for reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes.
• You implement internal controls operationally and support the assurance of correct and regulation-compliant accounting.
• You take on a key user role for the accounting ERP (SAP) and support the technical further development of the relevant system processes.
• You actively contribute to the standardization, digitalization, and automation of accounting systems and processes.

YOUR PROFILE

• You have a sound education in finance and accounting and several years of professional experience in operative accounting.
• You possess sound knowledge of financial accounting and the preparation of financial statements; IFRS knowledge is an advantage.
• You bring practical knowledge in VAT and tax topics; payroll experience is a plus.
• You have very good ERP knowledge, ideally SAP, as well as good Excel skills.
• You work independently, in a structured, precise, and hands-on manner and enjoy taking on responsibility.
• You enjoy digitalization, automation, and process optimization and bring a good understanding of internal controls and compliance.
• You have very good German and good English skills; French skills are an advantage.
