Assistant Compliance, Risk and Finance

The company Investissements Fonciers SA (IFSA), based in Lausanne ( ), is a real estate fund management company active for more than 70 years. Today it manages two funds with complementary strategies: La Foncière, a listed real estate fund primarily invested in residential properties in French-speaking Switzerland, and La Foncière Urban Development L-QIF, dedicated to the development of residential and mixed-use real estate projects and intended for qualified investors.

As part of its development, IFSA is now offering the opportunity to join a dynamic and committed team, within a stimulating professional environment, as an Assistant Compliance, Risk and Finance at 80-100 %.

Reporting directly to the Head Legal, Compliance, Risk and Secretary General, you will provide support for legal, regulatory, risk management and internal control activities. In close connection with the CFO, you will also participate in the financial activities of the company and the real estate funds.

The position offers a versatile and evolving function, with an indicative distribution of activity of 50 % on the Finance aspect and 50 % on the Compliance & Risk domains.

Your main responsibilities

Finance

• Participate in accounting, management control and treasury activities.
• Contribute to the monitoring of financing and mortgage loans.
• Participate in the preparation of financial reports as well as annual and semi-annual closings.
• Collaborate with auditors and various external partners.
• Participate in the monitoring of financial aspects related to insurance and taxation.

Compliance & Risk

• Ensure legal and regulatory monitoring in the areas relevant to the activity.
• Provide support in the monitoring of regulatory requirements applicable to real estate funds.
• Participate in the monitoring of fund documentation, conflicts of interest and various compliance obligations.
• Collaborate with notaries, real estate management companies, auditors, legal counsel and other external partners.
• Participate in the identification, assessment and monitoring of risks.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the internal control system.
• Perform and document the controls planned within the framework of the internal control system.

The function is called to evolve progressively, notably in order to ensure the continuity of activities and to strengthen internal skills in the areas of Compliance, Risk and Finance.

Your profile

• Higher education in law, finance, business economics or a similar field.
• Proven professional experience in a function ideally combining financial, legal and/or regulatory aspects.
• Experience in the real estate sector, collective investments or in a regulated environment constitutes an important asset.
• Good knowledge of the FINMA / LPCC / OPCC regulatory environment.
• Additional training in Compliance, Risk Management or LPCC constitutes an advantage.
• Very good command of French; good knowledge of German is desired.
• Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, rigor and sense of responsibility.
• Autonomy, discretion, collaborative spirit and ease in a demanding and versatile environment.
