Job title: Technician, New Ingredients Discovery M/F Work location: Meyrin,Genève, Switzerland What you will do Join our New Ingredients Discovery team and contribute to the identification and development of more sustainable new fragrance ingredients. In this role, you will collaborate with leading scientists within a cutting-edge research environment to explore new chemical spaces and transform innovative ideas into concrete solutions for our customers and consumers. Your main missions • Plan and carry out the synthesis of new molecules intended for olfactory evaluation. • Analyze chemical reactions, semi-finished products, finished products and by-products using analytical techniques such as GC, MS and NMR. • Isolate and purify compounds by extraction, distillation, crystallization, chromatography and other separation techniques. • Proactively identify technical issues, propose solutions and participate in the maintenance of laboratory equipment. • Ensure rigorous and traceable documentation of experiments and results. • Manage laboratory consumables, raw materials and samples. • Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment. • Respect HS&E requirements and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory safety. What you bring • A laboratory technician diploma in chemistry (CFC) or equivalent technical training. • Practical experience in multi-step organic synthesis, including implementation, monitoring, work-up and purification of reactions. • Excellent mastery of good laboratory practices and experimental documentation. • A rigorous, methodical and quality-oriented approach. • A strong safety culture and good knowledge of chemical hygiene and waste management rules. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Scientific curiosity, spirit of initiative and willingness to learn. • Ability to work autonomously while actively contributing to the success of the team.
