Burckhardt of Switzerland AG is a globally active company specializing in the manufacture of mechanical as well as headed and drilled precision parts. Furthermore, special and custom machines for the plastics, textile, and machine industries are also produced.
Our products are manufactured using CNC turning and milling machines and automatic drilling machines, as well as through conventional turning and assembly work. We can test various application possibilities of our products in our laboratory.

As a result of the current job holder's retirement, we are looking for a

Polymechanic in the function as future
Department Manager

starting 1 November 2026 or by arrangement.

Your main tasks:
Conventional turning
Assistance in all areas of final assembly
Active participation in continuous process optimization
After training:

• Leading the final assembly department with around 7 employees
• Leading the laboratory

You bring with you:
Completed vocational training in a metal profession (Polymechanic, Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic)
Several years of professional experience in various areas of mechanics
Leadership experience and knowledge in the areas of constructive cooperation, appropriate communication, active listening, understanding of self-reflection, reliability, independence
Basic knowledge of CNC technology
Experience in conventional turning and mechanical assembly work
Good manual dexterity
German as a native language
English skills
