Sunneschyn Steffisburg is a special primary school with educational and residential places. The offering includes 14 school classes from the 1st to 10th school year, six lunch tables and a day school offering for external students, four residential groups, assisted living as well as training places in various service areas. Kohlenweiher is a special school offering close to regular schooling at the external location Thun under the sponsorship of Sunneschyn Steffisburg. Kohlenweiher supports adolescents in their orientation, promotes their development and strengthens their identity. To complement our team, we are looking for a:

Tasks ###

You will work at 90% (5 working days) in the all-day structure Kohlenweiher Thun. You accompany, advise and coach adolescents within the reference person system and are responsible for case management. - You work closely with the teachers, partly design the lessons together or work in small groups and manage interdisciplinary individual and group processes in cooperation with the team - You take responsibility for jointly defined content within the day structure and design school and practical life modules with the adolescents during lessons and/or non-lesson time (including social pedagogical projects and external assignments, excursions, experiential pedagogical sequences, organization of supplementary internships, lunch supervision as well as preparation and cooking of lunch) - You are motivated to closely, differentially and highly individualizedly promote and support adolescents who are in difficult school and life situations * The 90% will be performed during 41 working weeks (39 school weeks, 2 weeks of preparation and follow-up during the school holidays).

Requirements ###

You are a person with: - sound social pedagogical training - independent, exact and reliable way of working - healthy assertiveness - experience - preferably in the area of behavioral issues and in dealing with ADHD and ASD - joy in the differentiated and individualized promotion of adolescents who are in difficult school and life situations - a structured, reflective and solution-oriented way of working - understanding and empathy for special development processes and systems - patience, trust and perseverance even during crisis phases - the ability to focus on reliable and independent work, to keep agreements and to support and implement the philosophy and values of the institution in everyday life - great team spirit. The interdisciplinary cooperation of different teams in different disciplines is a matter of course for you. - humorous, creative and courageous thinking and acting - knowledge of and if possible experience in the primary school system of the Canton of Bern - good IT user skills (Socialweb, Word, Excel, Outlook) - driver's license Cat. B
