Your contribution

• Provide specialist support to projects, applications and systems and ensure their reliable operation
• Further develop quality management and accreditation, perform audits and tests and adopt quality assurance measures
• Analyze customer needs and, on this basis, constantly improve the services provided
• Oversee DNA analysis laboratories, verify their recognition and participate in the implementation of legal requirements

What distinguishes you

• Completed vocational training, combined with a relevant additional qualification or solid multi-year practical experience in the sector in question; training in policing or forensic science is a preferred qualification
• Good knowledge of quality management, the accreditation system and the project context at national and international levels; knowledge of HERMES is a preferred qualification
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legal bases, particularly regarding data protection and security
• Excellent IT skills (including SharePoint, Excel), knowledge of biometric processes and collaboration with national and international partners
• Analytical and quality-oriented working method, interdisciplinary approach and high individual responsibility; ability to handle complex cases and identification requests in the biometric identification sector
• Good active knowledge of two official languages; passive knowledge of a third official language and good active knowledge of English

The Police and Identification Systems management area ensures the secure operation and further development of essential police information systems and databases, serves as the national link for the exchange of police information and provides forensic and identification services to national and foreign partner authorities. The Biometric Identification division provides services in the field of biometric identification for the benefit of law enforcement and security authorities. It processes and compares fingerprints, DNA profiles and other biometric data, confirms matches according to the principle of double control and thus provides support in the identification of persons and traces in a national and international context.
